Archive works on markets - A Webinar
Public markets and bazaars are the most critical and significant public places of Tbilisi as valuable commons for the local community. From the flower market to flea markets, clothing bazaars to food bazaars, they are the places of encounter and support for those who make their livelihood through street trade and their budget customers. It is important to verbalize the future of those public markets in the scope of the accessibility of the commons during the intensifying rule of privatization and gentrification. In this webinar, past and future projects were discussed with artists and scholars who previously worked in markets and bazaars in Tbilisi. The talk aimed to brainstorm for a collaboration possibility to reclaim markers and bazaars.
