Strelka Institute (https://strelka.com/en) is a non-governmental institution founded in 2009 with a mission to change the physical and cultural landscape of Russian cities. The Institute promotes positive changes and creates new ideas and values through its educational activities.
Strelka provides new learning opportunities, while the city remains at the center of the Institute's research. We believe that when we generate the right knowledge, we contribute to a better understanding of urban design practices and help young specialists to perform better in a new and complex environment.
Strelka Mag is the bilingual online magazine of Strelka Institute and the largest architectural media in Russia. Launched in 2014, it focuses on the contemporary city—the ideas, people, and emerging technologies that shape it.
The Russian version of Strelka Mag covers the transforming physical and cultural landscape of Russian cities and engages with a wide community of Russian and international experts. The English version is a publishing platform for experimental research.
Expanding on the topics of Strelka Institute’s education programs, it runs open calls to invite researchers from around the world to join conversations about interdisciplinary urban design practices and the transformation of Earth’s cities, technologies, and ecosystems.
