Tbilisi architecture biennial
Onur Ceritoglu is a visual artist and an academic researcher. Using his background in architecture for creating installations, he often uses different mediums for recreating a visual narrative of a place. In the core of his critical and visual narration, he refers to people, environmental phenomena and unjust urban change. Currently, he continues his PHD research in urban planning department at B-TU in Germany. His research is based the ethnographic investigation of informal scrap dealers in Istanbul that reclaim building components and elements from abandoned buildings for reuse and recycle. He is part of the artist collective Kaba Hat (‘transgression, mischief’).
