Unequal Cities
17.10.20
As a diverse team, from all over the world, we often question what our cities have in common. The answer is pretty simple. Inequality.
In the past year, we have witnessed the rise of social crises in Chile, Lebanon, the United States, and Brazil, among others. Most of these countries, although some of us wouldn’t want to admit it, share similar causes for the dispute. In fact, the origins of these critical uprisings reside in economic inequality as well as gender and race discrimination that have physically defined our cities. Having teams that work in all these different areas of the world, ArchDaily has tackled upfront these issues, generating content across its sites. In a curated edition, discover interviews, opinions, and photography, aiming to open debates on the inequality of our cities.
